Module 3: Acts and Thessalonians
In this module you will study the book of Acts and the two letters to the church in the city of Thessalonica. With Acts, as well as discovering the wonderful work of the Holy Spirit in the birth of the church, this study will lay an important foundation of New Testament history which is a foundation for your continued study of the New Testament. The two letters to the Thessalonians are among the Apostle Paul's earlier letters yet, as you will discover, address very up-to-date issues.

Apart from gaining an understanding of the infant Church and early church history, you discover the careful emphasis employed by Luke which he presents in his work. You become familiar with the pertinent geography for your continuing studies in the New Testament letters, which you will find are foundational. You also consider the methods and models used by these early followers of Jesus as they obeyed the great Commission of Jesus in Matt 28, and then consider the implications of these for our universal missionary task.
